Infection Preventionist Certification Course for Nursing Facilities required for F880 survey compliance. This interactive certification course provides opportunities for learners to ask questions and participate in case studies.
This certification course is designed for nurses who are new to the role of Infection Preventionist. This comprehensive 20-hour program will cover essential aspects of the position, providing the foundational knowledge necessary to effectively begin their duties as an Infection Preventionist. Attendees will be provided with the Pathway Health Infection Prevention and Control Manual printed version, as a reference guide.
Objectives:
Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Describe the role of the Infection Preventionist
- Describe the daily responsibilities of the Infection Preventionist
- Verbalize the key components of an effective Infection Prevention and Control Program
- Describe the principles of Standard and Transmission-Based Precautions

To earn the “Infection Prevention and Control Certification – Long Term Care (IPCC-LTC) credential the participant must attend the entire workshop and complete the exam.

COST
The cost is $1099 and includes the printed Pathway Health IPC Manual and other printed materials required for the course.
CANCELLATION
Materials and the print manual will be provided at the start of the course. For those registering less than 2 weeks prior to the start date, the printed manual may not arrive by the first day of class.
No refunds will be provided after September 8, 2026. Registration canceled prior to September 8th will be refunded minus a $45 administrative fee.
