Requirements
- Active Wisconsin RN license
- Previous nursing supervisor experience
Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) plays a key leadership role in supporting the Nursing Department and driving quality resident care. Working closely with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary team, the ADON helps lead clinical excellence, strengthen team culture, and support initiatives that improve both staff engagement and resident outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily nursing operations and clinical excellence initiatives
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to enhance resident outcomes
- Help foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture
- Ensure compliance with nursing standards and regulatory requirements
- Assist with admissions, discharge planning, care plans, and assessments
- Mentor, supervise, and support nursing staff and CNAs
- Assist with hiring, staff development, coaching, and performance management
- Provide direct nursing support when needed
- Monitor resident progress and communicate changes in condition
- Maintain infection control and safety standards
- Participate in performance improvement and quality initiatives
- Create a warm, respectful, and compassionate environment for residents and families
- Attend leadership meetings, trainings, and in-services as required
